Aug 29/20 Worship Music @ Belmont Church

This week I'm posting a blog about the weekend worship music @ Belmont Church Nashville, TN. We have 3 assemblies; Saturday night 6pm, Sunday 8:30 and 11:00am.  We've also recently begun web streaming our 11am service.  This post is part of the worship set list blog carnival at fredmckinnon.com, featuring many different kinds of churches.

It looks like a lot of songs, but music only took about 35 minutes total.  One twist was slowing down "Open the Eyes"  as a prayer of longing/adoration,  wrapping it around the scripture reading and the verse from "Dove's Eyes" . Pleasant surprise, "Oh Come Let Us Adore Him" was spontaneous response @ the 8:30 assembly.  The entire service was about 90 minutes. By the way, we love Planning Center Online, too.

Romania: Found this on youtube. This Daniel Olariu, Genu & Ramona's son playing drums. I think he's 4, maybe 5.  Also, at Metanoia church there's another kid 10 years old who is phenomenal on drums.

A New Anointing - Drumfest video w/ Decean

"Aceasta e" is well known in Romania.

So I'm out in the audience blown away by Decean's set (maybe the best rock band in Romania?) and I hear Nick say in Romanian "bla bla bla Rob Still .... Rob are you here?"   And the kids next to me say, "he's asking you to join them". Then Nick says, "come up here man, all those times you called me up front at Sozo ..." (which is true, but I forgot all about).  A lot of fun and a nice gesture from a great group of guys. They are really impacting Romania for Christ, especially among university students.

Sunday Worship - a wedding!

Holy matrimony is one of the sacraments (along with communion, baptism, anointing with oil, & ordination). This Sunday Aug 9 09 at Casa Inchinarii (House of Worship) the Sunday service was a wedding, with worship music by the team and special music from yours truly.     I sang "A Reason To Believe" and "Unity" (which actually is a wedding song).  The whole thing was about 4 hours long which was quite short by Romanian standards.  A lovely couple, blessings on Joji and Ingrid!
