I just got back from ministering in Quito, Ecuador with Musico a Musico as we held the Tripl3a Worship Congresso at the church called El Baton. Many traveled from far, far away to attend this event and receive education and inspiration in the area of worship.
My role was to teach and play guitar/sing . I taught my new and still developing seminar “Practical Theology of Worship” as well as “Songwriting for Worship”. I was not the featured worship leader for this event, but was happy to lead “Shabach”, “A New Anointing” and “Tu Eres Bueno”, all in Spanish.
I also had the privilege of presenting a keynote address entitled “Worship: Our Response to God’s Invitation for Participation in His New Creation”. All of these we very well received.
God is really moving in Latin America and though we worked very long, tiring hours we received much more than we gave. Of course, this the way God’s economy always works, We give but He gives more. It is impossible to out-give The Giver – Yahweh Jireh! Our accommodations were nice, the transportation comfortable and efficient, and the food really great. Our hosts at El Baton really blessed us with the gift of hospitality (Romans 12:13).
Many received healing and several accepted Christ in our final assembly when Fiona Mellet brought the message. Doug Mann also delievered a very powerful, encouraging prophetic message
I told my students that I got sick after my last mission trip and they committed to pray that I would not get sick returning home this time. I am happy to say that God is answering their prayers. I feel great!
It was a great blessing that students participated enthusiasticaly in my classes and gave very encouraging feedback. I heard things like “God really spoke to me during your seminar” and “thank you for bringing the fresh word of the Lord”, and "we pray God will continue to use you". Many shared with me that their lives were changed as we studied His word together.
For the glory of God - this trip was really worth it.
I am in the US and need Pastor Marcelo or Thalia's email address. We knew them when we were there last year in Quito. What I have is mac@alianzaelbaton.org but it does not work. Any help would be appreciated.
In His Service,
